The Future of AI? We Got a Sneak Peek at AICOD 2025
If someone asked us how AICOD 2025 went, we wouldn’t just say “great.” We’d say:
“It was 48 hours of caffeine-fueled brilliance, next-level teamwork, and some serious brain power.”
This wasn’t just any hackathon. This was AICOD: IOCOD’s very first AI Hackathon. It was a wild ride into innovation paired with creativity, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with AI.
The Energy? Electric. The Code? Chaotic (in the best way). The Vibes? Immaculate.
From the moment the hackathon kicked off, the entire IOCOD office felt like it had been transformed into a coding battlefield and a creative lab.
Here’s how it all unfolded:
DAY 1: The Calm Before the Code-Storm
Each team was called to pick a mysterious number and just like that, their challenge was revealed.
A few problem swaps happened (because hey, even great minds have preferences), and soon enough, brainstorming sessions lit up every corner of the office. Teams were already mapping out logic, planning their strategy, and getting ready to build.
DAY 2: Code Mode: ON
No one really knows if people slept this day. What we do know:
• Keyboards clacked.
• Coffee and code flowed.
• Energy drinks vanished.
It was the build day. Solutions started taking shape, bugs popped up (and got squashed), and teams started pulling together some seriously impressive prototypes.
Meanwhile, messages were popping up in Teams chats at 3 AM, 6 AM, and everywhere in between. The grind didn’t stop, and neither did the dedication.
DAY 3: Demos, Deadlines & Drumrolls
The last day of AICOD. Final touches were made with trembling fingers and tired eyes. Presentations were polished. And then, it was demo hour. Each team stepped up to present their 48-hour masterpiece in front of our awesome jury.
The judging panel included IOCOD’s own powerhouses — Fasna (Director), Anish Mohan, and Niyas N - alongside guest judges Rashid Abdulla from Helloii and Amar C P from Mailer Cloud.
And guess what? The judges were impressed. Not only were the projects functional, they were genuinely smart. Suggestions were made, improvements noted, but the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
And The Winners Are…
1st Place: Squad 5
Project: GUI Automation Assistant
Team Members: Jasim (Leader), Cyril, Sreerag, Romal, Akash, Aleena, Harikrishnan C J
Prize: ₹50,000
2nd Place: Squad 3
Team Members: Muhammed Basil E (Leader), Fahana, Thejus, Harikrishnan P P, Fayiz, Fahad, Aneesh Paulson
Prize: ₹30,000
3rd Place: Squad 6
Team Members: Shanosh Kumar (Leader), Rahees C V, Basil Rayees, Abhishek, Abdul Samad
Prize: ₹20,000
Picking the winners wasn’t easy. The judges had a tough time choosing because every single build was impressive. For those who didn’t make it to the top three despite giving it their all, just know: you crushed it. Stay tuned… AICOD 2.0 is coming.
When Our CEO Dialed In
Though miles away, Fasil Kk (CEO, IOCOD) joined us via video call for the grand finale. He congratulated all participants, shared his excitement about the ideas being born at AICOD, and officially announced the winners.
His message? Keep experimenting and keep believing in what AI can do when brilliant minds come together.
Behind the Scenes
Let’s not forget the ones who made everything run smoothly:
The HR team and the volunteers who handled it all — the planning, the food, the setup, the schedules. They made sure everyone had what they needed, when they needed it.
The Marketing team busy capturing every highlight — from intense moments and sleepy eyes to demo day magic and victory smiles.
And of course, Niyas N and Anish Mohan, who were there throughout, helping, guiding, fixing, and keeping the entire event on track, no matter what hour the clock said.
Wait… Can We Talk About the FOOD?!
Because what’s a hackathon without epic munchies? From hot meals to never-ending snacks, juice boxes to fruit platters — the food was the silent fuel powering every code push. Don’t be surprised if you hear someone say,
“What I miss most about the hackathon? Definitely the food.”
So… What’s Next?
As the lights dimmed and the confetti settled, one thing was clear: AICOD 2025 wasn’t just an event. It was a milestone.
This hackathon was built on the kind of dedication you don’t see every day… people who barely left their chairs, who wouldn’t shift from their spot until something was fixed or figured out.
We didn’t just work with AI.
We pushed it.
Tested limits. Broke things. Rebuilt better.
Tried crazy ideas just to see if they’d stick… and sometimes, they did.
We came. We coded. We conquered.
And now? We’re already waiting for AICOD 2.0.
See you next year — with more problems, more possibilities, and even more AI-powered magic.
