CPL 2026: A Story of Champions and Glory

CPL 2026: A Story of Champions and Glory

“And there you have it! IOCOD’s men’s team takes the trophy and the title: CAFIT Premier League Champions 2026.”

The crowd erupts. The team rushes onto the field, and the celebrations begin!

Okay, now let’s rewind.

The Beginning of the Journey

The CAFIT Premier League 2026 began with 32 teams chasing one dream. Every team entered the tournament believing they had what it took to lift the trophy. Every match came with pressure. Every over carried expectations. Every moment had the power to change the story.

And somewhere in the middle of all that competition stood our teams.

This year, we proudly entered both a men’s team and a women’s team into the tournament. Leading them were captains Sajan Basil and Aleena Joseph.

The Women Who Left Their Mark

IOCOD’s women’s team walked onto the field with fearless energy. They fought for every run. They backed each other through difficult moments. Every player brought passion onto the field and represented the team with pride.

What made their journey special was not just the performances. It was the spirit they carried. They played with heart. They played for each other. They showed what commitment and teamwork truly look like.

The Team That Owned the Tournament

And while the women’s team inspired everyone with their spirit, the men’s team slowly began building something unforgettable.

It did not happen overnight.

It started with one win.

Then another.

And another.

Match after match, they kept showing up. Different opponents came with different strengths. Some games tested patience. Some demanded composure. But no matter what challenge stood in front of them, the team always found a way forward.

Soon, people started noticing.

IOCOD’s men’s team was no longer just participating in the tournament. They became the team opponents watched out for. Because every time they stepped onto the field, they played with purpose.

They were in it to win it, and they kept winning. But every great journey eventually arrives at its toughest test. And for this team, that plot twist came in the final.

The Final Test

The atmosphere felt different that day. The pressure was heavier. The expectations were louder. One match stood between the team and the championship they had worked so hard for.

But then, things started to shift. Wickets started falling. Big names walked back to the pavilion. Sajan, who had dominated with the bat throughout the tournament, was out. Then came another blow.

The energy shifted.

For the first time in the tournament, uncertainty started creeping into the game. But this team had not come that far just to fall apart under pressure.

When the Warriors Stepped In

When the stars walked back, the warriors walked in. They showed up and performed for their team when it mattered the most!  What followed was not just a comeback. It was epic. Every boundary brought belief back into the crowd. The pressure that once looked overwhelming slowly turned into fuel.

Champions of CPL 2026

And then came the moment everyone will remember. Harice M H takes the winning shot!

The noise erupted. Teammates rushed onto the field. The trophy was finally lifted by this team that truly deserves it. A season that turned into history.

The Captain Who Led From the Front

And the celebrations did not stop there.

Captain Sajan Basil was awarded Player of the Series and Best Batsman of the Tournament for his outstanding performances throughout the league.

Proven Through Victory

But beyond the trophies and awards, this tournament became something bigger. CAFIT Premier League 2026 will always be remembered as a tournament filled with unforgettable moments, inspiring performances, and a journey built on resilience.

Our women’s team inspired us with their passion and fighting spirit. Our men’s team created history by becoming the champions.

Together, they made this season unforgettable. IOCOD is signing off for this season. We’ll be back for the next cup!
